Santa Maria’s public high schools will celebrate graduation in different ways with virtual and physical events.

The unique aspect of graduating as a Saint, Warrior, or Panther at this historic time is scheduled for June 5. Delta Dragons’ graduation is June 4.
The Santa Maria Joint Union High School District has about 2,000 graduates in the Class of 2020.
(June 5) Santa Maria Saints will hold a virtual graduation ceremony starting at 11 a.m. (The link will be available in the Saint website). There will also be drive-thru celebration where diplomas are distributed on campus near Thornburg Street at 1 p.m. Each graduate is limited to one vehicle.
(June 5) Righetti Warriors are set for a 9:30 a.m. virtual event (YouTube link) will be available on school website and emailed to all senior families, followed by a 11 a.m. drive-thru diploma distribution in the student parking lot.
(June 5) Pioneer Valley Panthers have planned two drive-thru graduations with a stage from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to award diplomas in the student parking lot. The two
ceremonies are needed because of the large class size. A virtual aspect is also being planned (link will be available on the school website). Each graduate is limited to one vehicle.
(June 4) Delta Dragons have decided to hold a video commencement (link available on school website) at 2 p.m. It will include speeches, a guest speaker and photos of the students. Grad pack/awards will be given out during a drive-thru event on the campus from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 28.
Additional details will be released by each school site as more decisions are made.
